Android-200x200Good news for (many!) users Android that they have adopted Home Assistant which proprio personale HUB.

Robbie Trencheny from the development team Home Assistant has indeed published - on April 1st - a post in which the commissioning of theapp for Google's mobile operating system, Android - and, apparently, it's not an April Fool's joke.

The huge lack of aapp Dedicated Android - as compensated by the possibility of using the browser or 'sapp unofficial - will finally be filled, especially in terms of functionality: in fact it will follow the version (available for a long time) for iOS, which is equipped with:

  • support for the location ("Device Tracker") Very useful to determine the presence of tenants in the house (therefore also to define in-out automation);
  • notifications push;
  • webUI full screen.

The release of the first version of theapp (beta) is expected for the beginning of prossima summer, therefore within three months, while the definitive release of the 1.0 version should be foreseen - barring unforeseen circumstances - for late summer.

Many, more, the features that theappwill support with its evolution in the coming time.

Trencheny also provides some information on the evolutionary roadmap dell 'app for iOS:

  • By the end of April, release of the 2.0 version (which should support iOS widgets as well as, perhaps, Siri Workflow);
  • within theautunno, the 2.5 version.

More explanations are available on the dedicated post with the HA community.
