- It's been officially available a few weeks ago the new version of the board for the well-known actuator ITEAD Sonoff Basic, a version that is apparently rapidly replacing the previous version in warehouses around the world.
Functionality remains the usual of the previous model, what changes is the general organization of the electronic board placed inside it. At the moment it is not possible to distinguish the old and the new model neither from the packaging nor from the external socket.

Curious use in the name of the abbreviation “RF", Which would suggest a functional similarity with the version, appgrease, "RF", which supports radio-frequency commands.
As you can see the board was profundamentally revisited by proITEAD conductor. It is a device based on SOC ESP8285, or a version of the well-known ESP8266 equipped with 1MB flash memory
First big difference compared to the previous model is the absence of the GPIO14 pin, which is however replaced by the presence of the GPIO2, identified on the board with the words "IO2"(See second photo).
As it is known the GPIO14 it is useful as well as necessary for the use of the board via button or external switch by firmware adoption Sonoff-Tasmota; this change is easily managed by configuring the GPIO2 as a configurable input (function available starting from the version V188.8.131.52 201812XX).
Another obvious difference is the absence of the tracks on which, in the old Sonoff Basic, transited the max voltage 230v: the two tracks are now external to the board, wrapped in a black sheath (see first photo).
This variation obviously leads to a variation in the known promodification casting a clean contact of Sonoff Basic, proof which we will release a new specific version for this new model as soon as possible.
