Implementation difficulties: half
The "Generic Thermostat" platform it is useful to integrate to profirst personal home automation based on Home Assistant the bluetooth thermostatic heads "Eqiva eQ-3 Smart"
This integration allows you to create one or more entity of type "Climate”- as many as there are heads present and to be integrated - that is many virtual thermostats how many radiators to check. Integration is particularly useful for defining automation scenarios linked, for example, to the actual thermal (and energy) regulation based on the presence or absence of tenants in the domotic environment.
The platform uses the proProtocol Bluetotooth LE to dialogue with the thermostatic heads: it is therefore necessary that the hardware it houses Home Assistant is equipped with a bluetooth antenna (no proproblem, for example, with Raspberry Pi 3) and that it is within reach of a radio signal.
Only handicap of this platform (which, for the rest, functions admirably) is the absence of the detection of the temperature in which the head is lowered: the parameter supplied a Home Assistant corresponds to the target temperature value in use. This is not a platform limitation, it is profirst a hardware limit of the actuator.
