Robbie Trencheny from the development team Home Assistant has indeed published - on April 1st - a post in which the commissioning of theapp for Google's mobile operating system, Android - and, apparently, it's not an April Fool's joke.
The huge lack of aapp Dedicated Android - as compensated by the possibility of using the browser or 'sapp unofficial - will finally be filled, especially in terms of functionality: in fact it will follow the version (available for a long time) for iOS, which is equipped with:
- support for the location ("Device Tracker") Very useful to determine the presence of tenants in the house (therefore also to define in-out automation);

- webUI full screen.
The release of the first version of theapp (beta) is expected for the beginning of prossima summer, therefore within three months, while the definitive release of the 1.0 version should be foreseen - barring unforeseen circumstances - for late summer.
